And It's Only The Beginning

Before celebrating Thanksgiving I sat in on a nutrition group.  I am hoping surrounding myself with good information and people undergoing the same behavioral modifications, it will help me.  One thing I remember before leaving the last session was the Nutritionist warning, "Do you know that most people put on 7 lbs at Thanksgiving".  Eeks!!  That gave me a lot to think about (probably her reason for stating it too).

Returning from Thanksgiving vacation, I was incredibly leery of stepping on the scale.  The first day, Monday Dec 1st was rough.  But today Dec 3rd shows I lost 5.2 lbs.  I understand that is probably water weight.  But I will take it!  I am especially grateful Yeshua did this for me up front because it boosts me just a little bit to know He is in it with me.

Psalm 91:4 He will cover you with his pinions,
and under His wings you will find refuge;
His truth is a shield and protection.

Never Too Soon For Praise

Yesterday was a blessing for me, spending much time thinking out the process of weight loss.  I can't believe everyone who speaks has the right answer or there would be no obesity in the world today.  But I did have a couple of points jump out at me yesterday.  Firstly becoming fit requires a lot of discipline.
I have always lived my life looking to make positive changes in my world.  Of course, just because I want to make positive changes, does not mean they are readily embraced. In retrospect I think I gavetoo much of myself to others and neglected myself in the process.  Even though I know Yeshua I have not given Him the place as my foundation at all times.

Knowing  Yeshua was here from the beginning, is here now, and will be here for all time gives me a foundation.  Who can develop a stronger foundation than the one who was there at the foundation of the whole earth?  I am going to trust in His Word and seek Him out daily.  Even when my dieting days seem overwhelming I have to keep standing on the foundation He gave me. It is important to remember always that my Creator deserves a pure environment, unpolluted, well maintained and unchanging when it comes to accessibility for worship, praise and sacrifice.  That is what the physical temple was here on earth.  That is what we each should be.  Solomon's Temple was destroyed because the enemy was allowed to take authority.  I rebuke the enemy and give Yeshua authority over MY BODY MY TEMPLE...

I submit to my Yeshua with my whole heart, mind, body and ask Him to be the Potter who molds me into a useful vessel.  Along the way, I will give praise to my God!  Yehovah I love you and thank you for accepting me for who I was and for who I am.  I am submitting myself to you and asking you to complete in me whatever is needed in order that I may someday be a light on the hill.  ~Amen

Do you know anyone who is not lacking in the area of discipline?  Putting this web blog together is important for me because it gives me the opportunity to investigate, sift and establish my new life.  I don't want my living to be based on anything but solid ground.  This reminds me of a verse I really love:
Matthew 7:24-27  “So, everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on bedrock. The rain fell, the rivers flooded, the winds blew and beat against that house, but it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a stupid man who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the rivers flooded, the wind blew and beat against that house, and it collapsed — and its collapse was horrendous!”
I have always lived my life looking to make positive changes in my world.  Of course, just because I want to make positive changes, does not mean they are readily embraced. In retrospect I think I gave too much of myself to others and neglected myself in the process.  Even though I know Yeshua I have not given Him the place as my foundation at all times.

Eating For The Glory Of God?

1 Corinthians 10:31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
For the last year and a half or so I have been eating a Kosher diet.  I believe choosing to live Kosher is a glory to Yehovah.  I find it very interesting that the more we find out about Kosher eating, the more we realize how much healthier it is for us.

Released From Fear: 1 Samuel 12:24

1 Samuel 12:24 Only fear ADONAI, and serve him faithfully with all your heart; for think what great things he has done for you!
Picture
At first read this verse is a warning and instruction on how to live my life.  It tells me that to not serve Yehovah is to doom myself.  History proves that Our Creator requires two things primarily #1 Love Him with all our heart #2 Remain obedient to His commands.  I guess what I need to apply from this verse is that if I truly love Yehovah wouldn't I easily put aside self indulgence in order to become a Holy Temple for Him in which to dwell?  When I release my fear, it testifies that Yehovah has never wronged me in anyway...
