Overweight Yet Undernourished?

I really want to explore the possibility I am missing certain Vitamins and Minerals that I need to be fit. Doctor Joel Wallach is a veterinary doctor (yes, animals) and has done much research into obesity and disease in animals.  He is also a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and I believe his approach to weight loss may help me...maybe you too?

Food Journals

Using a food journal is highly recommended during weight loss.  The food journal can be customized to your specific needs.  A good food journal will describe the meal items eating, possibly give a guideline of expectations, allow you to tally calories and other nutritional facts and serve as a constant reminder of whether you are meeting your goals.  Obviously before starting your food journal you should seek out nutritional advise that keeps your specific needs in check, especially anyone who suffers from a chronic illness such as diabetes, high blood pressure, anemia, rheumatoid arthritis, crohn's disease etc.  My basic concern here is in finding or developing tools that help me in my journey to fitness.
