Agenda Saturday 8/15/2015

  • Why does the Hebrew Biblical Text speak so much of a concept called the THIRD DAY?
  • How and Why is this THIRD DAY motif related to Yeshua in his resurrection on the THIRD DAY?
  • We often hear about a biblical idea called “Redemption” and that of mankind needing a “Redeemer.” Exactly, what did this mean in the ancient biblical context and how does this apply to us today?
  • In Hebrew, the term “Go’el” (Gimmel Vav Lamed) means a Blood Redeemer but WHY does the same Hebrew Root also mean defilement, pollution, and desecration?
  • What is the significance of Proverbs 3:19 being mathematically encoded into all the Hebrew letters that make up the opening statement of Genesis 1:1?
  • Why does the Hebrew word for serpent (Nachash) in Genesis Chapter 3 have the same numeric value as the Hebrew Word Mashiach or Messiah?
  • Did the serpent in the Garden of Eden really have legs? If so, why were they cut off and how does this relate to marriage?
  • What does the Bible have to say about the definitions of male and female and how could a proper application of this benefit single and married people alike?
  • Why does Jeremiah 31:31 speak of a Covenant that is New and relate it to a woman encircling or encompassing a man (Jeremiah 31:22)

Agenda Sunday 8/15/2015

  • Introduction: Highlights from day Saturday presentation
  • What IS the “Kingdom of God” or the “Kingdom of Heaven” in the biblical texts of the Hebrew Bible? Why is this so much of a focus in HaBrit HaChadasha (Matthew 8:11 and Luke 13:28)
  • Why are there TWO CREATION STORIES of man described in the Book of Genesis, Chapters 1 and 2?
  • In the Book of Genesis we read about the Etz HaDa’at Tov V’Ra or the “Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.” What is this? And how might it be connected to Yeshua’s parable of the tares in Matthew Chapter 13?
  • Why does traditional Judaism refer to the Sabbath in the feminine as a “Queen”? Where does Judaism get this from? Do we find masculine and feminine concepts in the days of the creation week?
  • What does Genesis 3:16 REALLY SAY in the Hebrew text when it states that a woman’s “Desire” will be for her husband and that he will “Rule” over her? Have we misinterpreted these concepts, often to the detriment of women?
